INSTALLATION

  • STEP 1: PREP DOOR
    • Use plastic template to mark TRIM holes (LHR shown)DETEX 101998 Outside Lever Pull Trim 7

NOTE: The height from the finished floor to the trim/device centerline that Detex recommends is 40″.

      • If unsure of trim/device centerline location, use the method below and at right to determine correct trim location.
    • STEP 2: INSTALL TRIM & BACKPLATE
      Install backplate with four 1/4-20 x 1″ long screws and lockwashers provided with exit device

Note: Mortise lock and mounting hardware supplied with exit device. Fasten screws loosely.

IMPORTANT!
For modular cable devices, see electrical instructions for cable routing.

MARK & DRILL HOLES – TRIM SIDE:

Mortise lock NOT supplied with TRIM. For a retrofit application, remove lock and exit device before installing new trimDETEX 101998 Outside Lever Pull Trim 5

Change Handing (if required) (Place trim on a clean surface with this view facing up)
