Product Information:

The PIR Standalone Motion Sensor with 5.0 SIG Mesh is available
in four different models: HBIR31, HBIR31/R, HBIR31/H, and
HBIR31/RH. These sensors are designed for indoor applications such
as offices, classrooms, healthcare facilities, and other commercial
areas. They come with a built-in 80mA DALI power supply that can
control up to 40 LED drivers. The sensors utilize Bluetooth
wireless mesh networking technology, allowing easy communication
between luminaires without the need for hardwiring. This feature is
particularly beneficial for retrofit upgrade projects, as it helps
save costs and installation time. The sensors also offer simple
device setup and commissioning through a smartphone app.

Product Usage Instructions:

  1. Install the PIR Standalone Motion Sensor at the desired
    location in your indoor area. Ensure that the installation height
    is appropriate for the specific model you are using (6m for HBIR31,
    15m for HBIR31/R, 20m for HBIR31/H).
  2. Connect the sensor to a power source with an operating voltage
    of 220-240VAC and 50/60Hz frequency.
  3. For manual control, utilize the 2 push inputs provided by the
    sensor.
  4. If required, use the ceiling/surface mount box or blind
    inserts/blanking plates available as accessories to enhance the
    installation.
  5. Download the smartphone app for your respective platform (iOS
    or Android) from the app store.
  6. Launch the app and follow the on-screen instructions to set up
    and commission the sensor.
  7. To control DT8 LED drivers, ensure that they are supported by
    the sensor.
  8. For further details on detection range and patterns, refer to
    the detection pattern section of the user manual.

Product Description

HBIR31 is a Bluetooth PIR standalone motion sensor with 80mA DALI

power supply built in, which can control up to 40 LED drivers. It is

ideal for typical indoor applications such as office, classroom,

healthcare and other commercial areas. With Bluetooth wireless mesh

networking, it makes communication between luminaires much easier

without time-consuming hardwiring, which eventually saves costs for

projects (especially for retrofit upgrade projects!). Meanwhile, simple

device setup and commissioning can be done via

app.

Detection Pattern & Optional Accessories

The smart device with the App installed will have a typical range of 10m, but varies from device to device. During commissioning, the installer will need to be in range of the devices when searching for devices to add to the network.
Once the devices have been added to the network via the App, the devices will start communicating within the wireless mesh. This means that once the network is complete, all devices are accessible from the smart device when in a 20m range of a single point.
