Product Usage Instructions
Before starting the installation process, shut off the power at
the fuse box or circuit breaker box. Remove the old fixture and
mounting hardware, then unpack the new fixture and lay out all the
parts in a clean area.
To assemble the fixture, first, loosen the hex nuts on the
canopy with a wrench and remove the metal washer, lock washer,
canopy, and swivels. Next, place the cloth shade and metal washer
over all thread. Determine the desired hanging height and thread
the rods to all thread of fixture body. Pass wires through each rod
during assembly and secure swivels onto rods. Slide canopy and
metal plate followed by lock washer and metal washer onto swivels
and secure with hex nuts via wrench.
Position the mounting plate on the ceiling and mark the location
of the two drywall anchors. Pre-drill holes for drywall anchors,
then insert drywall anchors into the ceiling. Attach the mounting
plate to a junction box using mounting screws and wood screws into
drywall anchors. The side of the mounting plate marked GND must
face out.
To connect the wires, follow the instructions shown in Fig. 2,
making sure that all wire connectors are secured. If your junction
box has a ground wire (green or bare copper), connect the fixture’s
ground wire to it. Otherwise, connect the fixture’s ground wire
directly to the mounting plate using the green screw provided. Tuck
wire connectors neatly into the junction box.
To complete the installation, slide the canopy over the mounting
plate and secure it with screws. Place candle covers over sockets,
and install ten candelabra base bulbs up to 60 watts each or CFL or
LED equivalent (not included) in accordance with the fixture
specification. Do not exceed the maximum wattage rating. The
installation is now complete. Return power to the junction box and
test the fixture.
