Smart Card Module Screws

Installation

This section will guide you on how to install the expansion modules to your tablet PC.
Note: Make sure to remove the battery before installing any type of expansion modules. For more information on how to remove/install the battery, please refer to the tablet PC service guide.

Installing the Smart Card Module
To install the smart card module, follow the steps below:

1. Remove the screw securing the mylar on the DDR door.
2. Remove the mylars from the DDR door.
3. Attach the expansion sponge and four sponges to the DDR door.
4. Connect the smart card module FFC to the mainboard connector. Then secure the latch.
5. Route the smart card module FFC through the opening on the bracket. Then by aligning with the screw holes, install the smart card module bracket onto its slot on the lower case.
6. Attach the 2 screws to secure the smart card module bracket to the lower case.
7. Connect the smart card module FFC to the smart card board connector. Then secure the latch.
8. Attach the tape to secure the smart card module FFC in place.
9. Attach the tape to secure the smart card module FFC position on the bracket.
10. By aligning with the guide pins, install the smart card board onto the smart card module bracket.
11. By aligning with the screw holes, place the smart card reader on the top of the installed smart card board.
12. Attach the 3 screws to secure the smart card module assembly onto its bracket.
13. By aligning with the screw holes, place the gasket onto the smart card module bracket.
14. By aligning with the screw holes, place the smart card module cover on the top of the installed gasket.
15. Attach the 6 screws to secure the smart card module cover to the lower case.
    • M2.6X6L & O RING (marked with blue-white circle): 4 screws
    • ISOT-M2.6X4L (marked with orange-white circle): 2 screws
16. Install the battery.
