Examine the Tank

  • Unplug machine
  • Fill water tank
  • Check tank for cracks or leaks
    • If tank is damaged, a replacement will need to be ordered
  • Re-install tank making sure it clicks into place
  • Knocking noise will diminish once water is pulled from tank
    • If knocking noise continues, remove and re-install tank until it clicks in place
  • Tube with metal ball should move freely inside tank
    • If not, remove tank and lightly shake to free the metal ball allowing it to rest on tank bottom
  • Tube should always be attached to metal ball
  • Only fill tank with distilled water, reverse osmosis water, tap water, or BISSELL Scented Demineralized water
    • Minerals from tap water can build up easier and faster than distilled or reverse osmosis water

Check Components

  • Remove the handle by pressing the grey button just above the water tank
  • Re-install handle until it clicks into place
  • You will not see an abundance of steam
  • When machine is cool and done steaming, foot can be removed
  • Insert paperclip into opening at bottom body to clear any build-up
  • Reinsert the body into the foot until it clicks
  • Plug the machine back into a working outlet
  • The ready light blinks blue when it’s powering on
  • Press trigger to test steam
    • If trigger does not spring back when it is pressed, a replacement handle will be needed
