Lindab Skmtr Sliding Dampers Instruction Manual

SKMTR Sliding Dampers

Lindab Sliding Dampers SKMTR, SKPTR

Product Information

Lindab Sliding Dampers SKMTR, SKPTR are automatic dampers
designed to regulate the airflow in ventilation systems. The
standard power supply for the dampers is 230V AC, but it can be
specially ordered to 24V DC or 24V AC. The damper blade opens when
power is on and closes when power is off. There is a manual open
and close button on the valve to be used for testing without
electrical power. The damper is maintenance-free and has a damper
blade protection structure.

Product Usage Instructions

Assembly: The sliding dampers can be installed
horizontally or vertically. Check the product plate on the damper
to ensure the correct size and designation when ordering spare
parts.

Electrical Connection: Connect the damper to a
power supply of 230V AC. For special orders of 24V DC or 24V AC,
connect accordingly. Use the manual open and close button to test
the damper when electrical power is not available.

Commissioning: After mechanical installation,
check that the damper blade moves easily and opens and closes as
per projected function.

Maintenance: The damper is maintenance-free. If
necessary, cleaning can be carefully performed.

Troubleshooting: If the damper blade jams or
sticks, it may need cleaning, or there may be breaking forces
affecting the pipe system, the blade may be damaged, or the sealing
may be loose.

Note: Lindab aims to contribute to a better climate by
developing energy-efficient ventilation solutions and durable
building products that are sustainable for both people and the
environment.

Assembly
Install the damper as per instructions for straps or flanges. Check that the space before/beyond the damper allows the damper blade to be fully opened. When installing SKPTR with automatic opening and closing function, the risk of personal injury must be considered. The damper must therefore be installed outside any possible contact zone, for example min. 2.1 m above the floor. Connecting conduits must be suspended so that the damper is not exposed to destructive forces. These can cause the damper to jam or stick.
