providing added value to luminaires and cost savings for projects.
The device setup and commissioning can be done via a smartphone
app.

Product Usage Instructions
To use the IP65 HF Motion Sensor with 5.0 SIG Mesh (HMW84),
please follow the instructions below:
- Choose the desired installation method: ceiling mount, conduit,
or clamp. - Download the smartphone app for your iOS or Android
device. - Open the app and follow the device setup instructions.
- In the app, configure the motion sensor settings according to
your preferences. - If needed, set up tri-level control and daylight harvest
features. - Create scenes and schedule them based on time and date.
- If desired, configure the staircase function for primary and
secondary lighting. - If using EnOcean BLE switches, ensure compatibility and follow
the instructions for pairing and setup. - Utilize the web app/platform for dedicated project management
and simplify project planning using the floorplan feature. - For advanced setup and commissioning, use the quick setup mode
or switch to the advanced setup mode in the app. - Take advantage of the internet-of-things (IoT) features, such
as device firmware updates over-the-air (OTA), device social
relations check, and bulk commissioning. - Manage permissions and network sharing via QR code or
keycode. - For remote control, ensure gateway support (HBGW01) is
available and configured. - In case of power loss, the device has power-on status memory to
retain settings. - If needed, perform offline commissioning for specific

Placement Guide and Typical Range Smart Phone to Device Range

The smart device with the App installed will have a typical range of 10m, but varies from device to device. During commissioning, the installer will need to be in range of the devices when searching for devices to add to the network.
Once the devices have been added to the network via the App, the devices will start communicating within the wireless mesh. This means that once the network is complete, all devices are accessible from the smart device when in a 20m range of a single point.
