- Turn off and unplug machine
- Remove the dirt container by pressing release button on top of handle
- Push the empty button on back of dirt container to empty tank
- Remove lower portion of dirt container by pressing the front and back latches on upper portion
- Clean screen with cloth or soft brush to remove debris
- Lower portion of dirt container can be washed in warm water
- Allow to completely air dry before reassembling
- While dirt container is removed, check inlet on machine for clogs
- Pull out the Pre-Motor Filter Tray located below the dirt tank and remove filter
- Wash the filter with water and a mild detergent
- Allow to completely air dry before reassembling
- Open the Post Motor Filter Door by pressing down on the Filter Door release
- Remove the Post Motor Filter by lifting the Post Motor Filter release at top of filter
- Tap filter against a waste bin to remove any excess dust or debris
- Remove the upholstery hose from the back of the machine by twisting the hose to the left to unlock and pulling the hose up from the hose holder
- Run a broom handle through the hose to remove any clogs
- Remove the Lower Hose by unscrewing the 7 screws that hold on the clear plastic tube and lower hose
- Run a broom handle through lower hose to remove any clogs
- Check the Air Flow Diverter inside the clear plastic tube
- The diverter should be up for suction from the Upholstery Hose and down for suction from the floor
