Hot air from vents or blowing dust are usually results of clogs
- Empty Dirt cup
- Take the Hand Vac off and check for suction at the end of the Hand Vac
- If there is suction, push a broomstick through the end of the wand to remove any obstructions
- Lay the elbow of the foot as flat as you can and push any debris through with a broomstick
- If there is no suction at the hand vacuum, check the filters
- Machine has thermal fuse that causes it to shut down if the filters, wand, or foot are clogged
- Pull up on the filter tab on the hand vac to remove cover
- Pull out the separator
- Unlock the filters from the separator and pull the two filters apart
- Check both sides of filters since the top may appear clean but the bottom can be very dirty
- Both filters are washable
- Make sure to allow to dry completely (24-48 hrs) before reinstalling in machine
- If all steps have been followed and still no suction, visit a BISSELL Authorized Service Center or Contact Us
