Safety and application notes
- Can be installed in any position.
- Install the emergency stop unit in such a way that the operator is protected against penetrating foreign particles, e.g., swarf, sand, etc.
- If emergency stop devices are connected in series, the performance level as defined in EN ISO 13849-1 may become lower due to reduced fault detection capabilities.
- When using emergency stop applications, it is required for the overall system to be validated as specified in EN ISO 13849-2.
Regular maintenance activities
- Check the emergency stop unit to ensure that it has a secure mechanical fit.
- Check the cable connections to make sure they are in good condition.
