Installation Guide
Overview:
Altronix AL624 linear power supply/charger kits have a wide range of applications including access control, security, and CCTV system accessories that require additional power.

Output:

Battery Backup:
- Built-in charger for sealed lead acid or gel-type batteries.
- Automatic switch over to stand-by battery when AC fails.
- Maximum charge current 0.3A.
- PTC battery protection.
Visual Indicators:
- AC input and DC output LED indicators.
Features:
- Extremely compact design.
- Battery leads included.

AL62412C/AL62412CX:
- 12VDC @ 1.2A continuous supply current.
- Kit includes: power supply, 12VDC 4AH (AL62412CX and AL62424CX – 12VDC 7AH) rechargeable battery, and 16.5VAC 20VA Class 2 Rated plug-in transformer.
AL62424C:
- 24VDC @ 750 mA continuous supply current.
- Kit includes: power supply, two (2) 12VDC 4AH rechargeable batteries and 24VAC 40VA Class 2 Rated plug-in transformer.
Installation Instructions:
- Mount the unit in the desired location/enclosure (mounting hardware included).
- Unit is factory set for correct output voltage.
- Connect the wall plug-in transformer to the terminals marked [AC]. Use 18 AWG or larger for all power connections (Battery, DC output).
- Measure output voltage before connecting devices. This helps avoid potential damage.
- Devices to be powered should be connected to the terminals marked [+ DC] and [DC – BAT], carefully observing polarity.
- Connect the battery to the terminals marked [BAT +] and [DC – NEG] (battery leads included).
Note: When batteries are not used, a loss of AC will result in the loss of output voltage.

| OFF | ON | No DC output. Short circuit or thermal overload condition. |
| OFF | OFF | No DC output. Loss of AC. Discharged or no battery present. |
Terminal Identification:
Terminal Legend | Function/Description |
| AC/AC | Low voltage AC input. |
| – DC + | 12VDC @ 1.2A continuous supply current. 24VDC @ 750mA continuous supply current. |
| + BAT – | Stand-by battery connections. Maximum charge rate 300mA. |
