Set-Up
Open shipping carton.
Assembly > Unboxing
Add oil.
Assembly > Add Engine Oil.
Recommended: 10W-30, up to 16.9 fl. oz. (500 ml) DO NOT overfill.
Move the generator outdoors.
Move generator to an open, outdoor area. Point exhaust away. Never run a generator in enclosed areas (e.g., not in the house or garage).
Keep all objects at least 5 feet (1.5 m) from the generator. The heat from the muffler and exhaust gas can ignite combustible materials.
Start-Up
Add fuel – Gasoline or Propane (LPG)
Assembly > Add Fuel
FOR GASOLINE OPERATION: DO NOT USE E15 OR E85
DO NOT plug in any electrical devices.
NEVER START OR STOP THE GENERATOR WITH ELECTRICAL DEVICES CONNECTED OR TURNED ON!
Starting the Engine: Gasoline
Manual Start
- Turn the fuel cap vent lever to the “ON” (|) position.
- Turn the EZ Start Dial to the gasoline “CHOKE” position.
- Pull the recoil to start the engine.
- Turn the EZ Start Dial to the gasoline “RUN” position.

Starting the Engine: Propane (LPG)
Manual Start: Propane (LPG)
- Open the propane tank valve.
- Turn the EZ Start Dial to the LPG “CHOKE” position.
- Pull the recoil 3-5 times to prime the engine.
- Turn the EZ Start Dial to the LPG “RUN” position.
- Pull the recoil to start the engine.
