MRS INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
PASSIVEBOLT POWERED MORTISE LOCK
The PassiveBolt powered mortise lock is a high-security lock
designed for both residential and commercial use. The lock can be
installed on left-hand or right-hand doors.

Product Usage Instructions:
1. Check Handing of Lock Body
Determine whether you need to install the lock on a left-hand or
right-hand door.
2. Install Chassis, Trim, Turnpiece & Cylinder
- Prepare the door according to the included template.
- Install the mortise chassis while feeding the chassis wire into
the hole on the inside of the door. - Gently pull the wire through the hole as the chassis is
inserted. - Install the trim using the included instructions.
3. Install Reader Assembly
Install the reader assembly according to the included
instructions.
4. Install Inside Mounting Plate Assembly
Install the inside mounting plate assembly according to the
included instructions.
5. Install Battery Pack
- Plug in the battery wire to the control board.
- Install the battery pack over two studs on the mounting
plate. - Snap the battery pack onto the retainers on the mounting
plate.
6. Install Batteries and Battery Cover
Install the batteries and battery cover with two black pan head
screws.
Once you have completed the installation process, test the lock
to ensure it is working properly.

1. CHECK HANDING OF LOCK BODY
· If handing of lock body is not correct for opening, consult factory for handing instruction.
2. INSTALL CHASSIS, TRIM, TURNPIECE & CYLINDER
Prepare door according to included template.
Install mortise chassis while feeding chassis wire into hole on inside of door.
Gently pull wire through hole as chassis is inserted.
Install trim using included instruction.

3. INSTALL READER ASSEMBLY
· Feed reader wire through door · Do not pinch wire

4. INSTALL INSIDE MOUNTING PLATE ASSEMBLY
· Feed chassis and reader wires through mounting plate.
· Secure with (2) pan head wood/metal screws and (2) machine screws.
· Make wire connection after reader is secure. Push extra wire into door cavity.

6. INSTALL BATTERIES AND BATTERY COVER
Install batteries and battery cover with (2) black pan head screws.

5. INSTALL BATTERY PACK
Plug in battery wire to control board. Install battery pack over two studs on
