Product Usage Instructions
- Choose an appropriate installation method: ceiling mount,
conduit, or clamp. - Ensure that the mains voltage is within the range of 220-240VAC
and the frequency is 50/60Hz. - Install the HMW98 motion sensor at a height of up to 15m using
the selected installation method. - Download the smartphone app for iOS or Android platforms.
- Open the app and follow the instructions to set up and
commission the HMW98 motion sensor. - Use the app’s quick setup mode or advanced setup mode to
configure the desired settings for tri-level control, daylight
harvest, DCircadian rhythm, 1-10V dimming, motion sensor
sensitivity, and other features. - Utilize the floorplan feature in the app to simplify project
planning and visualize the placement of luminaires. - Create scenes in the app to control multiple luminaires
simultaneously based on specific requirements. - Take advantage of additional features such as Dusk/Dawn
photocell (Twilight function), push switch configuration,
schedule-based control, Astro timer (sunrise and sunset), staircase
function, and device firmware update over-the-air (OTA) for
enhanced functionality. - Manage authority levels and permissions for different users
through the app’s authority management feature. - For remote control and interoperability with other devices, use
the app in conjunction with the HBGW01 gateway or EnOcean
self-powered switch modules. - Refer to the web app/platform at www.iot.koolmesh.com for

Product Description
HMW98 is a Bluetooth 1-10V high-bay HF motion sensor, with capability
of up to 15m installation height. It is designed with robust IP65 structure,
and offers 3 different installation methods. With Bluetooth wireless mesh
networking, it makes communication much easier without any hardwiring,
which eventually adds values to luminaires and saves costs for projects.

Placement Guide and Typical Range Smart Phone to Device Range

The smart device with the App installed will have a typical range of 10m, but varies from device to device. During commissioning, the installer will need to be in range of the devices when searching for devices to add to the network.
Once the devices have been added to the network via the App, the devices will start communicating within the wireless mesh. This means that once the network is complete, all devices are accessible from the smart device when in a 20m range of a single point.
