If you are experiencing no/low suction, follow these steps to resolve:
- Remove tank
- Turn machine on and place your hand over the black motor duct (black rubber square opening)
- Is there suction?
- Yes > Turn machine off and unplug it
- No > Visit a BISSELL Authorized Service Center or Contact Us
- Is there suction?
- Remove Water Tank Lid
- Look for any clogs or debris & remove it
- Remove any dirt or debris on the red lint screen located on the tank
- Remove water tank cap and screw back on making sure red gasket is on tip and not in the base of the machine
- If red gasket is damaged or missing, a new one should be ordered > Go to Parts & Supplies
- Check Water Tank and bladder inside water tank for any damage or cracks
- If there is damage, a new tank should be ordered > Go to Parts & Supplies
- Fill tank bladder with clean water
- Reattach Tank Lid to the Tank
- First hook the front of the nozzle on the tank lid under the groove on the front edge of the bottom tank and secure the latch
- To ensure tank lid is secured to bottom tank, lift the tank handle to see if two parts detach from each other over a sink in case of leaking
- Verify the red float flap door located on the underside of the tank lid is not activating prematurely and cutting off suction
- Turn machine on test for suction
