Assault Winch Lead Rotation
Product Information: Assault Winch
The Assault Winch is a powerful and versatile device designed
for heavy-duty pulling and lifting tasks. It is equipped with a
lead rotation feature that allows for easy maneuverability and
precise control. The winch is equipped with brushes in the end cap,
which are held in place by springs. The winch also features seals
to ensure proper functioning and durability.
Product Usage Instructions
- Before starting any maintenance or rotation procedures, ensure
the winch is powered off and disconnected from any power
source. - Using a 4mm allen wrench, locate and unscrew the two bolts (1)
located on the back of the motor, as shown in Figure 3. - Carefully pull the armature housing (3) away from the base of
the motor (5) as little as possible. The cap (2) and housing (3)
can remain connected to each other, as shown in Figure 4. - Check that the seals (4), shown in Figure 1, are in the correct
location. - Align the armature housing and end cap assembly onto the motor
base, as shown in Figure 5. Make sure the seals are properly
aligned. - Tighten the bolts (1) securely using the 4mm allen wrench.
- Ensure that the brushes and springs are in their correct
locations within the end cap. If they have fallen out, carefully
separate the cap (2) and armature housing (3) to realign them. - Note: Avoid pulling the housing/cap too far off of the armature
to prevent the brushes and springs from dislodging. - Once all components are securely in place, the winch is ready
for operation. Refer to the winch’s main user manual for further
instructions on usage and safety precautions.

Note: The brushes in the end cap have springs behind them. If they fall out of their location, you may need to seperate the cap (2) and armature housing (3) to get everything lined back up. If possible, don’t pull the housing/cap too far off of the armature so the brushes and springs stay in place.
