Product Usage Instructions:
1. Ensure proper aseptic technique and sterile environment
before using the CDC-12123-XPN1A catheter.
2. Select an appropriate insertion site on the patient’s body,
considering factors such as accessibility and suitability for high
volume infusions.
3. Prepare the catheter by removing any packaging and inspecting
it for any visible defects or damages.
4. Attach the Raulerson Spring-Wire Introduction Syringe to the
catheter’s introducer needle.
5. Slowly and gently insert the introducer needle into the
selected site, following the recommended insertion technique.
6. Once the introducer needle is in place, carefully advance the
catheter over the wire guide until the desired length is
reached.
7. Remove the introducer needle and wire guide, ensuring that
the catheter remains securely in place.
8. Connect the injection needle (SafetyGlideTM1) to the
catheter’s injection port for administering medications or
fluids.
9. Prior to use, ensure that all connections are securely
tightened and free from leaks.
10. Monitor the patient closely during and after catheterization
for any signs of complications or adverse reactions.
11. Follow proper disposal guidelines for used catheters and
related medical waste.
