Setting up

The UBM-62 is a miniature digital boundary microphone with a back-electret capsule, which is designed to be placed on or mounted to a flat surface for multi-directional sound pickup. The disc-shaped housing has a hard-wired USB lead, terminated with a type-A connector for data and power connection, which should be connected to an available USB port on the PC or Mac computer.

The computer will recognize the UBM-62 as a “USB PnP Sound Device” in the sound or audio settings.

Operation

Selecting the UBM-62 (“USB PnP Sound Device”) as the input device within the recording or streaming software will set the microphone as the input source. The UBM-62 can be disconnected and re-connected to USB as a hot-swappable device. Disconnect from USB after use to preserve the computer battery or power supply.
