Installation

Please read the manual carefully before you begin the installation.

Mount the contact above the door or window on the frame. For doors, ensure that the mounting is farthest from the hinged side of the door.
Connect the two wires to the alarm control panel.
Mount the magnet on the door/window so that it will face the contact. Be sure that the gap between the contact and magnet does not exceed 1″ (25mm) for the SM-4004-TQ/W or 3/4″ (19mm) for the SM-4004-LQ/W.
