Product Information

The JYL9926 is a lighting fixture that requires installation by
a licensed electrician. The fixture has a dimension of 7.5”W X
12.75H X 14.5E. The external flexible cable or cord of this lamp
cannot be replaced. If the cord is damaged, the lamp shall be
destroyed. The fixture comes with a mounting bracket, backplate,
shade, nut, machine screws, wire connectors, and an LED bulb. The
maximum wattage for the bulb is 40 watts for type A bulbs, 13 watts
for CFL bulbs, and 9 watts for LED bulbs.

Product Usage Instructions

Before starting the assembly, check if all parts are present. Do
not attempt to assemble the product if any part is missing or
damaged. The estimated assembly time for the fixture is 20
minutes.

To install the fixture:

  1. Switch off the main electrical supply from the main fuse
    box/circuit breaker before installation.
  2. Fix the mounting bracket to the outlet box with machine
    screw.
  3. Make wire connections with wire connectors following the
    reference chart listed in the instructions.
  4. Orient the backplate so that the holes in the ears on the side
    of the mounting bracket are aligned with the holes in the rear
    plate, and then secure with machine screws.
  5. Install the bulb. Ensure that you use a light bulb with wattage
    no greater than specified on this fixture. Always make sure that
    electrical current is turned off before changing bulbs.
  6. Carefully insert the opening of the shade into the bulb and
    rotate the nut to secure the shade to the lamp body.

For grounding instructions:

  • For installation in the United States: Wrap ground wire from
    outlet box around green ground screw on mounting bracket, no less
    than 2 from wire end. Tighten ground screw. If fixture is supplied
    with a ground wire, connect to outlet ground wire with a wire
    connector.
  • For installation in Canada: If fixture is supplied with ground
    wire, wrap ground wire around green grounding screw on mounting
    bracket. Tighten ground screw.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE To clean the outside of the fixture, use a dry or slightly dampened clean cloth (use clean water, never a solvent) to wipe the surface of the fixture. To clean the inside of the fixture, first disconnect power to the fixture by turning off the circuit breaker or by removing the fuse at the fuse box. Next, use a dry or slighly damperned clean clorth (use clean water, never a solvent) to wipe the interior surface of the fixture. Do not use any cleaners with chemical, solvents or harsh abrasives. Use only a dry soft cloth to dust or wipe carefully.

PREPARATION

Before beginning assembly of product, make sure all parts are present. Compare parts with package contents list and hardware contents list. If any part is missing or damaged, do not attempt to assemble the product. Estimated Assembly Time: 20 minutes.
1. Fix the Mounting Bracket(B) to the outlet box with machine Screw(A).
2. Make wire connections, with Wire Connectors(C), following the reference chart listed below.

Connect, Hot, Black or Red Outlet Supply Wire to:
Black * Parallel Cord (round & smooth)

Connect, Neutral, White Outlet Supply Wire to:
White * Parallel Cord (square & ridged)

Clear, Brown, Gold or Black without Tracer (colored stripes)

Clear, Brown, Gold or Black with Tracer (colored stripes)

Insulated Wire (not green) with copper metal conductor

Insulated Wire (not green) with Silver metal conductor.

*Note: When parallel wire ( SPT I & SPT II ) is used. The neutral wire is square shaped and ridged and the hot wire will be round in shape and smooth. ( See Illustration on left. )

Grounding Instructions: a) For installation in the United States: Wrap ground wire from outlet box around green ground screw on mounting bracket, no less than 2″ from wire end. Tighten ground screw. If fixture is supplied with a ground wire, connect to outlet ground wire with a wire connector. b) For installation in Canada: If fixture is supplied with ground wire, wrap ground wire around green grounding screw on mounting bracket. Tighten ground screw.
3. Orient the Back Plate (D) so that the holes in the ears on the side of the mounting bracket are aligned with the holes in the rear plate, and then secure with Machine Screws (E).

4. Install Bulb(H). Be sure to use light Bulb(H) with wattage no greater than specified on this fixture. Always make sure that electrical current is turned off before changing bulbs.

5. Carefully insert the opening of the Shade (G) into theBulb (H) and rotate the Nut (F) to secure the Shade (G) to the Lamp Body (D)

PLEASUE USE TYPE”A” BULB MAX 40-WATT OR CFL BULB MAX 13-WATT OR LED MAX 9-WATT THERE ARE 1 X 4W LED BULBS IN THE BOX.
