JYL9909 Harper 1-Light LED Sconce
Product Information
The JYL9909 is a lighting fixture that requires installation by
a licensed electrician. It comes with a mounting bracket, back
plate, glass shade, and machine screws. The product dimensions are
4.5”W x 10H x 5E. The lamp requires a Type A bulb with a maximum
wattage of 40 or a CFL/LED bulb with a maximum wattage of 13/9.
Product Usage Instructions
- Before beginning assembly, ensure that all parts are present
and undamaged. - Switch off the main electrical supply from the main fuse
box/circuit breaker before installation. - Fix the mounting bracket to the outlet box with machine
screws. - Make wire connections with wire connectors according to the
reference chart provided in the manual. - Wrap the ground wire from the outlet box around the green
ground screw on the mounting bracket. Tighten the ground screw. If
the fixture is supplied with a ground wire, connect it to the
outlet ground wire with a wire connector. - Orient the back plate so that the holes in the ears on the side
of the mounting bracket are aligned with the holes in the rear
plate, and then secure with machine screws. - Install a bulb with wattage no greater than specified on this
fixture. Always ensure that electrical current is turned off before
changing bulbs. - Place the glass shade on the back plate, align the holes above,
and then rotate the nut to fix them. - If you need to replace or install a new bulb, please loosen the
nut, take out the glass shade from the back plate and install the
bulb. - Enjoy your lamp!

CARE AND MAINTENANCE To clean the outside of the fixture, use a dry or slightly dampened clean cloth (use clean water, never a solvent) to wipe the surface of the fixture. To clean the inside of the fixture, first disconnect power to the fixture by turning off the circuit breaker or by removing the fuse at the fuse box. Next, use a dry or slighly damperned clean clorth (use clean water, never a solvent) to wipe the interior surface of the fixture. Do not use any cleaners with chemical, solvents or harsh abrasives. Use only a dry soft cloth to dust or wipe carefully.

PREPARATION
Before beginning assembly of product, make sure all parts are present. Compare parts with package contents list and hardware contents list. If any part is missing or damaged, do not attempt to assemble the product. Estimated Assembly Time: 20 minutes.
1. Fix the Mounting Bracket(B) to the outlet box with machine Screw(A).
2. Make wire connections, with Wire Connectors(C), following the reference chart listed below.
Connect, Hot, Black or Red Outlet Supply Wire to:
Black * Parallel Cord (round & smooth)
Connect, Neutral, White Outlet Supply Wire to:
White * Parallel Cord (square & ridged)
Clear, Brown, Gold or Black without Tracer (colored stripes)
Clear, Brown, Gold or Black with Tracer (colored stripes)
Insulated Wire (not green) with copper metal conductor
Insulated Wire (not green) with Silver metal conductor.
*Note: When parallel wire ( SPT I & SPT II ) is used. The neutral wire is square shaped and ridged and the hot wire will be round in shape and smooth. ( See Illustration on left. )
Grounding Instructions: a) For installation in the United States: Wrap ground wire from outlet box around green ground screw on mounting bracket, no less than 2″ from wire end. Tighten ground screw. If fixture is supplied with a ground wire, connect to outlet ground wire with a wire connector. b) For installation in Canada: If fixture is supplied with ground wire, wrap ground wire around green grounding screw on mounting bracket. Tighten ground screw.
3. Orient the Back Plate (D) so that the holes in the ears on the side of the mounting bracket are aligned with the holes in the rear plate, and then secure with Machine Screws (E).
4. Install Bulb(F). Be sure to use light Bulb(F) with wattage no greater than specified on this fixture. Always make sure that electrical current is turned off before changing bulbs.
5. Place the Glass Shade (G) on the Back Plate (D), align the holes above, and then rotate the Nut (H) to fix them
6. Please loosen Nut(H) , take the Glass Shade(G) out from the back Plate(D) before install bulb
PLEASUE USE TYPE”A” BULB MAX 40-WATT OR CFL BULB MAX 13-WATT OR LED MAX 9-WATT THERE ARE 1 X 4W LED BULBS IN THE BOX.
