Product Information
The JYL7581A lighting fixture is a product that requires
installation by a licensed electrician. It comes with a mounting
plate, ground screw, outlet box screw, wire nut, anchor, tapping
screw, electric cord, hex nut, spring washer, swivel, 6 rods, 12
rods, fixture body, light bulb, canopy, canopy nut, and spanner.
The external flexible cable or cord of this lamp cannot be
replaced. The product dimensions are 36L x 7.75W x 19-49H.
Product Usage Instructions
- Before beginning assembly of the product, make sure all parts
are present. Compare parts with package contents list and hardware
contents list. If any part is missing or damaged, do not attempt to
assemble the product. - Raise the 12 rod (N) and 6 rod (M) thread to the fixture body
(O), then attach the swivel (L) to the rod (M). - Unscrew the mounting plate (A) from canopy (K), attach the
swivel (L) to the canopy (K), secure with metal plate (J), spring
washer (I), and hex nut (H) by using the spanner (R). - Punch a hole and install the anchor (E) to the ceiling.
- Attach the mounting plate (A) to the junction box (not
included) with the two outlet box screws (C), secure with tapping
screw (F), then connect wires.- Connect Hot, Black or Red Outlet Supply Wire to Parallel Cord
(round & smooth) Black - Connect Neutral, White Outlet Supply Wire to Parallel Cord
(square & ridged) White - Connect Clear, Brown, Gold or Black without Tracer (colored
stripes) Insulated Wire (not green) with copper metal
conductor - Connect Clear, Brown, Gold or Black with Tracer (colored
stripes) Insulated Wire (not green) with Silver metal
conductor
Note: When parallel wire (SPT I & SPT II) is used, the
neutral wire is square-shaped and ridged, and the hot wire will be
round in shape and smooth. (See Illustration on the left.)Grounding Instructions:
- For installation in the United States: Wrap ground wire from
outlet box around green ground screw (B) on mounting plate, no less
than 2 from wire end. Tighten ground screw. If the fixture is
supplied with a ground wire, connect to outlet ground wire with a
wire nut. - For installation in Canada: If fixture is supplied with a
ground wire, wrap ground wire around green grounding screw on
mounting plate. Tighten ground screw.
- Connect Hot, Black or Red Outlet Supply Wire to Parallel Cord
- Raise the canopy (K) thread to the mounting screws, secure with
canopy nut (Q).
WARNING: We recommend installation of this lighting fixture be
done by a licensed electrician. Switch off the main electrical
supply from the main fuse box/circuit breaker before installation.
Inspect item carefully before attempting to install. If there is
any damage or obvious defect, do not install. The item may not be
returned once it has been installed.

WARNING *** SWITCH OFF THE MAIN ELECTRICAL SUPPLY FROM THE MAIN FUSE BOX/CIRCUIT BREAKER BEFORE INSTALLATION. INSPECT ITEM CAREFULLY BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO INSTALL. IF THERE IS ANY DAMAGE OR OBVIOUS DEFECT, DO NOT INSTALL. ITEM MAY NOT BE RETURNED ONCE IT HAS BEEN INSTALLED.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE To clean the outside of the fixture, use a dry or slightly dampened clean cloth (use clean water, never a solvent) to wipe the surface of the fixture. To clean the inside of the fixture, first disconnect power to the fixture by turning off the circuit breaker or by removing the fuse at the fuse box. Next, use a dry or slightly dampened clean clorth (use clean water, never a solvent) to wipe the interior surface of the fixture. Do not use any cleaners with chemical, solvents or harsh abrasives. Use only a dry soft cloth to dust or wipe carefully.

PREPARATION

1. Raise the 12″ rod (N) and 6″ rod (M) thread to the fixture body (O), then attach the swivel (L) to the rod (M).
