Ultra Series Recommended HVAC System
Product Information
The product is a dehumidifier designed to improve indoor air
quality by removing excess moisture from the air. It is recommended
for installation in HVAC systems to ensure efficient operation.
The dehumidifier is compatible with the HVAC system and can be
installed by drawing air from a central location through a
dedicated return. The supply of the dehumidifier is then ducted to
the air supply of the HVAC system.
For additional fresh air intake, an optional outdoor air
ventilation duct can be utilized.

Product Usage Instructions
- Choose a central location for the dehumidifier
installation. - Connect the dedicated Santa Fe Return to the HVAC supply using
appropriate ducting materials. - Install the Ultra Series Indoor Air Return in a suitable
location to draw air into the dehumidifier. - Connect the motorized damper to control the airflow between the
dehumidifier and the HVAC system. - If desired, install the optional outdoor air intake duct to
introduce fresh air into the system. - Connect the air handler HVAC supply to distribute the
dehumidified air throughout the building. - Connect the HVAC return to ensure proper air circulation.
- Install the backdraft damper Ultra Series to prevent reverse
airflow. - Securely attach the supply duct cover plate to cover the duct
opening.
Ensure that all connections are properly sealed to prevent air
leaks and optimize the performance of the dehumidifier.
Recommended HVAC System Installation
The recommended installation draws air from a central location through a dedicated return to the dehumidifier and ducts the supply of the dehumidifier to the air supply of the HVAC system. Utilize the optional outdoor air ventilation duct to provide outdoor air.
· Install a dedicated 10″ air return for the Santa Fe Ultra120V from a central area of the structure. · Duct the supply of the Santa Fe Ultra120V to the supply of the HVAC system with a backdraft
damper. · If the existing system has multiple returns, instead of installing a dedicated return to the Santa Fe
Ultra120V, it is possible to select one to disconnect from the existing HVAC system and use it for the dedicated Santa Fe Ultra120V return. Select a return from a central location in the house that is always open to the rest of the structure. DO NOT use a return from a room where doors are kept closed. · DO NOT locate return in a bathroom or kitchen. · Control should be located remotely from the dehumidifier and placed in a central location.
