Orion Instruments Md-mt Pressure Switches Pressure Difference Switches Vacuum Switches Instructions

MD-MT Pressure Switches Pressure Difference Switches Vacuum Switches

Product Information

The product is a range of pressure switches that includes
pressure difference switches and vacuum switches. The pressure
range for the switches is from 1.5 mbar to 600 bar. The product is
manufactured by Kaustubha Udyog, an ISO9001:2008 certified company
based in Pune, India. The product is available in various ranges
and configurations as per the customer’s requirements. The product
comes with a certificate number FM72815 and is a part of the MT
High Range DP Catalogue. The product can be ordered with
non-standard allocation, model, cable entry size, switch type,
range code, microswitch type, pressure port material/size, and
diaphragm as per the customer’s requirement.

Product Usage Instructions

The product can be used in various industrial applications to
monitor pressure levels. The pressure switches can be installed in
the desired location using the mounting holes provided in the
installation drawing. The pressure ports available are 1/4 BSP (F)
and 1/4 NPT (F). The cable entry size is 1/2 NPT (F) or M20x1.5.
Before installation, ensure that the wetted parts mentioned in
italics are compatible with the medium being monitored.

The range selection table provides information on the different
ranges available for the product and the maximum working pressure
for each range. The differential value for each range is mentioned
in the table and may vary according to the pressure range selected
and microswitch type. For actual values of differential, please
contact the sales office.

When using 2SPDT switching arrangement, both microswitches may
not actuate and/or deactuate at the same point. A small stage gap
may be observed, normally up to +/- 5% FSR (depending on range
code). The On-Off differential (hysterisis) typically tends to be
at least double of those published for 1SPDT pressure switches. If
actuation and/or deactuation at the same point is a critical part
of operation, then it can be achieved by using a separate DPDT
relay. This relay will need a separate power supply for its
coil.

To order the product, the customer needs to specify the
non-standard allocation, model, cable entry size, switch type,
range code, microswitch type, pressure port material/size, and
diaphragm as per their requirement.
