CDT – Outdoor Duct Temperature Sensor
The CDT temperature sensor is designed to be mounted directly
onto the fresh air intake of the ventilation duct. It is used to
measure the outdoor air temperature accurately and relay the
information to the PCB board.
Installation Instructions
Follow the instructions below to install the CDT temperature
sensor correctly:
- Locate the temperature sensor near the fresh air intake for
accurate measurement. - Open the housing by removing the screw securing it
together. - Push the probe through the center hole and tighten the two
mounting screws. - Drill a 3/8 (8mm) hole in the duct and insert the probe into
the airstream. - Secure the sensor to the duct using two sheet-metal
screws. - Connect the signal wires to the sensor terminal strip.
- Connect the plug from the temperature probe to the PCB
board. - Close the cover and secure using the screw removed in step
2.

The sensing probe is made of thermistor material, and its range is
from -40 to 40 degrees Celsius. The accuracy of the temperature
measurement is determined by the ambient temperature and humidity.
The setpoint limit for relative humidity ranges from 10% to 40% at
outdoor temperatures ranging from -40 to 0 degrees Celsius. The
outdoor duct temperature sensor has two wiring diagrams, one for
On/Off wall humidistat, and another for 0-10V wall humidistat.
