TOOLS REQUIRED FOR INSTALLATION

PARTS

INSTALLATION
WARNING: FAILURE TO PROVIDE ADEQUATE STRUCTURAL STRENGTH FOR THIS COMPONENT CAN RESULT IN SERIOUS PERSONAL INJURY OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT! It is the installer’s responsibility to make sure the structure to which this component is attached can support five times the combined weight of all equipment. Reinforce the structure as required before installing the component.
NOTE: The following procedure assumes that a UL Listed CPA or CMA ceiling plate (not included) and an extension column (not included) have been properly installed following instructions provided with the ceiling plate and extension column.
NOTE: Proceed to Attaching Mount to NPT Column section or Attaching Mount to CPA Extension Column section, as appropriate.
Attaching Mount to NPT Column
NOTE: Proceed to Attaching Mount to NPT Column section or Attaching Mount to CPA Extension Column section, as appropriate.
Attaching Mount to NPT Column
CAUTION: WATCH FOR PINCH POINTS! Do not place fingers between moveable parts.
1. Check inside of mount housing for screws encroaching in the extension column area.
2. Loosen two 5/16 x 3-1/2″ button head cap screws on the end of housing until they no longer extend into the extension column area inside using, but do NOT remove the screws completely. (See Figure 1)
Figure 1
3. Slide ceiling mount (CC) up from below onto installed column (not included). (See Figure 2)
4. Tighten two button head screws loosened in Step 2. (See Figure 1)
5. Thread bottom coupling (BB) onto installed column until tight, with a minimum of four threads engaged. (See Figure 2)
6. Install and tighten one 10-24 x 1/4″ set screw (T) into bottom coupling (BB). (See Figure 2)
Figure 2
7. Loosen two button head screws tightened in Step 4, and slide ceiling mounts down extension column until it rests on the bottom coupling (B). (See Figure 1)
8. Rotate the mount to the desired position.
9. Re-tighten two button head screws against the column. (See Figure 1)
Attaching Mount to CPA Extension Column
CAUTION: WATCH FOR PINCH POINTS! Do not place fingers between movable parts.
1. Check inside of mount housing for screws encroaching in the extension column area.
2. Loosen two 5/16 x 3-1/2″ button head cap screws on the end of housing until they no longer extend into the extension column area inside the housing, but do NOT remove the screws completely. (See Figure 3)
Figure 3
3. Slide ceiling mount (CC) up from below onto installed column (not included). (See Figure 4)
4. Tighten two button head screws loosened in Step 2. (See Figure 3)
5. Slide bottom stop collar (AA) onto the installed column, lining up holes in the collar with holes in the column.
6. Install two 5/16″ x 1″ self-tapping screws (U) through two 5/16″ flat washers (V), bottom stop collar (AA), and into the installed column. (See Figure 4)
7. Install and tighten 5/16″ x 3/4″ set screw (W) into the bottom stop collar (AA). (See Figure 4)
8. Loosen two button head screws tightened in Step 4, and slide ceiling mounts down extension column until it rests on the bottom stop collar (AA). (See Figure 4)
9. Rotate the mount to the desired position.
10. Re-tighten two button head screws against the column. (See Figure 3)

Figure 4
Attaching Interface Brackets to Display
1. Lower the latch mechanism on each interface bracket (DD). (See Figure 5)

2. Align the center of the interface bracket (DD) with the center of the screen. (See Figure 6)
NOTE: The diamond-shaped hole in the bracket corresponds to the center of the mount.

Figure 6
WARNING: IMPROPER INSTALLATION CAN LEAD TO DISPLAY FALLING CAUSING SERIOUS PERSONAL INJURY OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT! Using screws of improper size may damage your display. Properly sized screws will easily and completely thread into display mounting holes. If spacers are required, be sure to use longer screws of the same diameter.
3. Select correct screws, spacers (if necessary), and universal washers from the hardware bag (A-N) and attach brackets (DD) to the back of the screen. (See Figure 6)
IMPORTANT !: The M8 screws do NOT require a washer. Use the universal washer (N) only with M4, M5, and M6 screws.
NOTE: The nesting spacers (M) may be used separately, or put two together in different configurations to create different size spacers. (See Figure 7)
Figure 7
Attaching Displays to Ceiling Mount
1. Ensure that the latch mechanisms on interface brackets (DD) are already lowered. (See Figure 5)
2. While supporting both sides of the display, lower display onto ceiling mount, hooking top of interface brackets onto the front of a ceiling mount. (See Figure 8)
WARNING: IMPROPER INSTALLATION CAN LEAD TO DISPLAY FALLING CAUSING SERIOUS PERSONAL INJURY OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT! The displays MUST be centered on each side of the ceiling mount.

Figure 8
4. Fasten bracket against ceiling mount using one 10-24 x 5/8″ button head cap screw (Y). (See Figure 9)
5. Repeat for remaining interface bracket on display.
6. Repeat Steps 1 – 5 for the remaining display.

Figure 9
Adjustments
CAUTION: Watch for pinch points! Do not place fingers between moveable parts.
IMPORTANT !: Always use two hands (one at bottom of the display and one at top of the display) to adjust the ceiling mount.
Roll
The ceiling mounts allow up to 3° roll in each direction.
1. Turn the roll adjustment bolt(s) in the direction necessary for the desired roll. (See Figure 10)
NOTE: Each roll adjustment bolt controls the roll on its side of the mount.
2. Stop adjusting when the desired setting is reached.

Figure 10
Tilt
The interface brackets allow -5° to 20° tilt and can be locked at 0°, 10°, and 20° tilt.
3. If necessary, loosen the button head tilt friction bolt (located on side of the interface bracket). (See Figure 11)
4. Adjust tilt as required. (See Figure 11)
5. The tilt may be locked at 0°, 10°, and 20° using one 10-24 x 2-1/4″ Phillips head screw (X) and one 10-24 lock nut (Z) per interface bracket. (See Figure 11)
6. Tighten button head tilt friction bolt as necessary. (See Figure 11)
7. Repeat for remaining interface brackets.

Figure 11
OPTIONAL: Security
1. OPTIONAL: Add padlock (not included) to each interface
bracket to lock displays to ceiling mount. (See Figure 12)
