Product Information
The product is a fixture that requires assembly and mounting. It
comes with a mounting strap, junction box, canopy, cord, decorative
plate, socket, and medium base bulb. The fixture is suitable for
indoor and outdoor use.
Mounting
To mount the fixture:
- Release the mounting strap by removing the screws.
- Secure the mounting strap to the junction box using the
provided screws. - Complete the wiring connections using the provided IS 18.
- Secure the canopy to the mounting strap using the screws in the
side of the canopy.
Fixture Height Adjustment
To adjust the fixture height:
- Use the allen key to loosen the set screw.
- Adjust the cord to the desired length. If strain relief is
making adjusting the cord difficult, it can be removed temporarily
and replaced once the cord is at the desired length. - Tighten the set screw to secure the cord into place.
Assembly
To assemble the fixture:
- Place the decorative plate over the socket.
- Use the socket ring to secure the decorative plate to the
socket. - Lamp the fixture using an appropriate medium base bulb.
- The fixture can now be powered on.
Wiring Instructions
Indoor Fixtures:
- Connect the positive supply wire (typically black or the
smooth, unmarked side of the two-conductor cord) to the positive
fixture lead with an appropriately sized twist-on connector. - Connect the negative supply wire (typically white or the
ribbed, marked side of the two-conductor cord) to the negative
fixture lead. - Refer to the grounding instructions below to complete all
electrical connections.
Outdoor Fixtures:
- Connect the positive supply wire (typically black or the
smooth, unmarked side of the two-conductor cord) to the positive
fixture lead with an appropriately sized twist-on connector. - Connect the negative supply wire (typically white or the
ribbed, marked side of the two-conductor cord) to the negative
fixture lead. - Cover the open end of connectors with silicone sealant to form
a watertight seal. If installing a wall mount fixture, use caulk to
seal gaps between the fixture mounting plate and the wall. If the
wall surface is lap siding, use caulk and a fixture mounting
platform specially.
Important Safety Instructions:
Read and follow all wiring and grounding instructions provided
(IS 18) and any additional directions. Turn off the power supply
during installation. If new wiring is required, consult a qualified
electrician or local authorities for code requirements.

Indoor Fixtures
1. Connect positive supply wire (A) (typically black or the smooth, unmarked side of the two-conductor cord) to positive fixture lead (B) with appropriately sized twist on connector – see Drawings 1 or 2.
2. Connect negative supply wire (C) (typically white or the ribbed, marked side of the two-conductor cord) to negative fixture lead (D).

Flush Mount Fixtures
For positive grounding in a 3-wire electrical system, fasten the fixture ground wire (E) (typically copper or green plastic coated) to the fixture mounting strap (M) with the ground screw (S) – see Drawing 1. Note: On straps for screw supported fixtures, first install the two mounting screws in strap. Any remaining tapped hole may be used for the ground screw.
Chain Hung Fixtures
Loop fixture ground wire (E) (typically copper or green plastic coated) under the head of the ground screw (S) on fixture mounting strap (M) and connect to the loose end of the fixture ground wire directly to the ground wire of the building system with appropriately sized twist-on connectors – see Drawing 2.
Post-Mount Fixtures
Connect fixture ground wire (E) (typically copper or green plastic coated) to power supply ground with appropriately sized twist-on connector inside post. Cover open end of connector with silicone sealant to form a watertight seal – see Drawing 3.
