- Unplug machine
- Recline handle and turn machine over so bottom is facing up
- Remove the five screws on the brush cover and lift off
- 2 screws in front of and behind brush, 1 near back left wheel
- Grasp brush at both ends and lift out
- Inspect brush and belt for damage
- Brush should spin easily by hand
- Belt should be intact
- If parts are damaged, replacements will need to be ordered
- Clean debris from brush, brush ends, and belt areas
- Check air passageway for obstructions
- Remove debris from this area
- When finished cleaning, reposition brush and belt in machine
- Rotate the belt by hand several times to center belt
- Reinstall brush cover and all five screws
