Product Information: MX Series – MX 100 & 200 Side of Pole
Mount Kits

The MX Series is a side of pole mount kit designed for the
installation of solar power modules. It is manufactured by Carmanah
Technologies Corp.

The kit includes a wedge casting, adhesive gasket strip, and
other necessary hardware for installation.

The MX 100 and MX 200 models are available, each with specific
installation instructions.

Product Usage Instructions:

Obtain the wedge casting and adhesive gasket strip included
with the power module.
Install the adhesive gasket strip along the top edge of the
wedge casting.
Note: Failure to apply the gasket strip could
result in water entry and product damage.
Determine the appropriate installation location according to
the LEVEL 1 and LEVEL 2 guides.
Mark the pole accordingly.
If not using external conduit, drill or enlarge the wire entry
hole to a 1-inch diameter using a suitable step drill or hole saw.
Deburr the hole edges.
If through-bolting to a plain post, drill bolt holes centered
on the wire entry hole. The recommended size is a 0.438-inch
diameter with a 4-inch vertical spacing.
Band or bolt the hub plate to the post using suitable hardware.
Heavy-duty high-torque worm drive clamps or a minimum 0.625-inch
wide banding should be used.
For MX 100:
- a. Thread the wedge casting all the way into the hub
  plate.
- b. Unthread the wedge casting less than one turn until
  horizontal and tighten the locking screw.
For MX 200:
- a. Thread the slip fitter all the way onto the wedge
  casting.
- b. Thread the support tube into the hub plate.
- c. Install the slip fitter over the support tube, ensuring the
  wedge casting is horizontal, and tighten all locking screws.
Fasten the solar power module to the wedge casting according to
the LEVEL 2 guide.

Note: It is important to read all included
install guides before system installation.

Depicted assembly order does not include cable routing steps and be modified to suit preference.

1. Obtain wedge casting and adhesive gasket strip included with power module and install gasket strip along top edge as shown.

LEVEL 4 5. Band or bolt hub plate to post using suitable hardware (kits available from Carmanah).
Only use heavy duty “high-torque” (min. 75 in-lb rating) worm drive clamps or min 0.625″ wide banding.

LEVEL 4 6. MX 100:
a. Thread wedge casting all the way into hub plate. b. Unthread wedge casting less than one turn until horizontal and tighten locking screw. 7. MX 200: a. Thread slip fitter all the way onto wedge casting. b. Thread support tube into hub plate. c. Install slip fitter over support tube, ensure wedge casting is horizontal and tighten all locking
screws. 8. Fasten solar power module (not shown) to wedge casting per LEVEL 2 guide.
