FAQS
Is it magnetically shielded? Can it be placed next to a TV?
The X201 is not magnetically shielded but should not affect a TV unless it’s a CRT TV.
Why no picture on back connections and will this work w/ audioengine hd3 powered speakers? if so which connections?
We’ve never tested the X201 with this particular speaker set, so we can’t guarantee if it will or won’t work. However, I believe you can connect the X201 to the RCA output of the HD3. You’ll also want to make sure that your proposed powered speakers have a volume control for the safest experience.
Can this easily integrate into my existing speaker setup with my AVR?
These are powered subwoofers with line in and out. It has its own volume and crossover.
Is the cone material made of treated paper ……hopefuly it’s of mors advnced and better material.
The Cambridge web site says they are One piece aerospace grade aluminium cones.
Does it work with v220?
There is a voltage switch on the back so you can adjust it to use either 110 or 220. That being said, if you purchase the sub from a US seller, the warranty will only be valid in the US. So if you take it overseas you will need to send it back to the US for any warranty work.
is this active/powered or passive subwoofer? what’s the power wattage in rms? is it suitable for av receiver with 80 watts rms?
According to BH Photo Video: AC Input Power 110 to 240 VAC, 50 / 60 Hz
There should be a switch on the back panel. It does not switch automatically.
See also Crutchfields image of the back panel. You can confirm by yourself by searching for images of ‘Cambridge Audio Minx X201’
Does this subwoofer includes a cable in the package?
This is a powered subwoofer. It has direct rca line in and out.
This speaker works with the cambridge audio minx 600d stand?
It did not include an RCA cable. The only cable included was a power cable.
Does this support dual voltage (US and Europe)?
done know
Can I be 100% sure that the line out sockets send out full range? Identical to line in?
It has a switch behind it to change voltages.
What is the line in input impedance? (I am thinking about y-splitting the preamp out, instead of using the X201 line out)
The RCA output on the X201 will duplicate whatever is connected to the input. So if you hook up a second sub, you would just want to make sure that they both have all the same settings on the back.
Does it work with v220?
The impedance of the LFE/Sub input on the X201 is approximately 47k Ohms.
