OXD442 IP20 CTA Suspended Linear Lights
Product Information
The product is a Microwave Sensor for use with microwave
fittings. It is designed for ceiling mounting at heights between
2.5-4.5 meters. The Microwave Sensor can be adjusted to meet
customer requirements. The adjustments are made using six DIP
switches located on the top of the sensor. The switches control the
detection area, hold time, daylight threshold, standby period, and
standby dimming level.
Product Usage Instructions
Microwave Settings
- Switch 1: Detection Area Adjustment
- Switches 2 & 3: Hold Time (Time required ON after the last
detection) - Switch 4: Daylight Threshold (Light level when sensor will
operate) - Switch 5: Stand-by period (Time required ON in stand-by
mode) - Switch 6: Stand-by dimming level (Light level in stand-by
mode)
Wiring
The product requires suitable cable and power to be supplied to
the installation point. The wiring instructions vary depending on
the type of fitting being used:
Microwave Fittings
+ Positive (Red) – Negative (Black)
Emergency & Microwave Fitting
+ Positive (Red) – Negative (Black)
Fittings With 0(1)-10V Dimming (Without Emergency &
Microwave Sensor)
+ Positive (Red) – Negative (Black)
0-10V Dimming: 2-core cable terminated to a 0-10V
dimmer control (if required). Will dim down to OFF.
1-10V Dimming: 2-core cable terminated to a 1-10V
dimmer control (if required). Will dim down to 10%. A separate
switch is required on the mains input to turn the light OFF.
Fittings With 0(1)-10V Dimming (Without Microwave Sensor)
+ Positive (Red) – Negative (Black)
0-10V Dimming: 2-core cable terminated to a 0-10V
dimmer control (if required). Will dim down to OFF.
1-10V Dimming: 2-core cable terminated to a 1-10V
dimmer control (if required). Will dim down to 10%. A separate
switch is required on the mains input to turn the light OFF.
Note: The emergency battery backup fitting can be wired
as maintained or non-maintained. The emergency with microwave
sensor fitting is maintained only.
- Maintained: The LED driver connects to
‘Switched Live’ with ‘Unswitched’ permanent live to the emergency
inverter. The luminaire can be switched on/off, but will illuminate
at a lower level on power failure. - Non-maintained: The LED driver is not
connected to ‘Switched Live’ with ‘Unswitched’ permanent live to
the emergency inverter. The luminaire only illuminates on power
failure.
To enable manual testing of the fitting, an inline keyswitch
must be fitted with the Permanent Live input into the driver.
0-10V Dimming
When the controller is set at 10V, the light output will be at
100%. When the controller is set to the minimum 0V, the output will
be 0%. The independent mains switch can then be used to turn off
the light/driver.
1-10V Dimming
When the controller is set at 10V, the light output will be at
100%. When the controller is set to the minimum 1V, the output will
be 10%. The independent mains switch can then be used to turn off
the light/driver.

EMERGENCY BATTERY BACKUP
On first operation a 24 hour charge will be required to fully charge the batteries.
Failure to provide a permanent live will cause the batteries to power the fitting when it is switched off. This is not recommended as it will reduce the lifetime of the batteries.
This product must be disconnected from the circuit if subjected to any high voltage or insulation resistance testing. Irreparable damage will occur if this instruction is not followed.
Recommended routine emergency test procedure in accordance with BS 5266.
· Daily check – check that the status GREEN LED indicator is illuminated.
· Monthly functional test – simulate a mains supply failure for approx. 30 secs by operation of key switch or switching off a circuit breaker. Ensure normal supply is restored after test and the indicator status LED is illuminated.
· Twice yearly conduct a one hour duration test – simulate a mains supply failure for one hour continuous test by operation of key switch or switching off circuit breaker. Ensure normal supply is restored after test and the indicator status LED is illuminated.
· Annual full three hour duration test – conduct a three hour continuous duration test. Simulate a mains supply failure for three hour continuous test by operation of key switch or switching off circuit breaker. Ensure normal supply is restored after test and the indicator status LED is illuminated.
If the luminaire fails any of the function or duration tests, please contact a qualified electrician.
