Product Information:
- Spacer ring: A component used in the
installation of the Cane Creek preload assembly for RaceFaceTM
cranks with 30mm spindles. - Thread ring: A component used in the
installation of the Cane Creek preload assembly. The silver thread
ring is for DUB SRAM cranks, while the gold thread ring is for 30mm
spindles. - 2.5mm HEX Bolt: A bolt used to fasten the Cane
Creek preload assembly. - Super Glue: A type of adhesive used in the
installation of the Cane Creek preload assembly for SRAM
cranks.
Product Usage Instructions – RaceFaceTM Cranks:
- Remove the crankset from the bike.
- Unscrew the existing preload screw and remove the existing
RaceFaceTM preload assembly. - Using only the Spacer Ring of the Cane Creek preload assembly,
install it completely onto the spindle of the crank so that no
preload is applied. - Reinstall the crankset onto the bike and adjust the preload as
necessary. - Fasten the 2.5mm bolt to 1.4Nm (12.4in-lb) on the Cane Creek
preload assembly to complete the installation.
Product Usage Instructions – SRAM Cranks:
- Remove the crankset from the bike.
- Completely remove the existing SRAMTM preload assembly, both
the male and female thread portion. - Apply a strip of super glue to the part of the spindle where
the Thread Ring of the Cane Creek preload will be located. The
super glue should bond the Thread Ring to the spindle, not to the
threads of the Thread Ring. - Twist the Thread Ring around the spindle to spread the super
glue evenly between the spindle and the Thread Ring. - Once the super glue is dried, install the Spacer Ring
completely onto the spindle of the crank so that no preload is
applied. - Reinstall the crankset onto the bike and adjust preload as
necessary. - Fasten the 2.5mm bolt to 1.4Nm (12.4in-lb) on the Cane Creek
preload assembly to complete the installation.

1. Remove crankset from the bike

NOT to be applied to the threads
of the Thread Ring. Twist the
Thread Ring around the spindle to spread the super glue evenly
between the spindle and the Thread Ring.
4.After the super glue is dried, install the Spacer Ring completely onto the spindle of the crank so that no preload is applied.
5. Reinstall the crankset onto the bike and adjust preload as necessary, fasten 2.5mm bolt to 1.4Nm (12.4in-lb) on Cane Creek preload assembly to complete installation.
