Product Information

The DuoStandTM is a bike stand that is designed to provide
stability and support for your bike when it is parked. It is
capable of holding a maximum load of 60 kg (132 lb), which includes
the weight of the bike. The product comes with DuoStand Ends and
does not require M10 x 70 Bolt and M10 Spring Washer for
installation.

Note that the DuoStand HSD Kit (sold separately) is required for
HSD Gen 1 Owners.

Product Usage Instructions

Ensure safety by not exceeding the maximum load limit of 60 kg
(132 lb).
Remove the existing kickstand from your bike.
For HSD owners, identify the HSD frame before installation by
locating the kickstand mount located in front of the rear
wheel.
Install Bolt Sets in the order and arrangement shown in the
assembly order section of the manual. Use parts from the DuoStand
HSD Kit if required.
Ensure that cables are routed as shown to avoid damage from
compression.
Adjust the height of the DuoStand by loosening the bolts on the
DuoStand Ends to raise or lower the legs. The recommended clearance
from the bottom of the rear wheel to the ground is 10 – 20 mm (2/5
– 4/5).
Tighten the bolts to a torque of 8 – 9 Nm.
Optional: For maximum stability, install LockstandTM Extensions
which are available for purchase from your local Tern dealer.

Remember, never leave children or pets unattended on a parked
bike. If you are unsure about the installation process, please
visit your local dealer.

The DuoStand HSD Kit (sold separately) is required to install the DuoStand on the HSD Gen 1. Please see the illustrations on the next page to determine which HSD frame you have.

Installation
Tools required (not included) · 17 mm Wrench x 2 · 3, 4 or 5 mm Allen Wrench
Add anti-seize lubricant to the tip of the bolts before securing the nuts. If anti-seize lubricant is not available, apply any standard lubricant to reduce friction and prevent thread galling.

1. Remove the existing kickstand. (Tool may differ depending on your bike.)

for HSD Owners
Identify the HSD Frame Before installation, identify the HSD frame by the kickstand mount located in front of the rear wheel.

Mounting Location

3. The recommended clearance from the bottom of the rear wheel to the ground is 10 – 20 mm (2/5″ – 4/5″). Measure the distance from the bottom of the rear tire to the ground and adjust the height of the DuoStand by loosening the bolts on the DuoStand Ends to raise or lower the legs. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 8 – 9 Nm.

Optional: Install LockstandTM Extensions For maximum stability when parked, install the Lockstand Extensions. Available for purchase from your local Tern dealer.
