DuoStand Dual Kickstand for Cargo Bikes

Product Information: DuoStandTM

The DuoStandTM is a bike stand that can be installed on HSD Gen
1, Quick Haul, and Short Haul bikes. It comes with DuoStand Ends
and has a load limit of 60 kg (132 lb). The DuoStand HSD Kit (sold
separately) is required to install the DuoStand on the HSD Gen 1.
The recommended clearance from the bottom of the rear wheel to the
ground is 10 – 20 mm (2/5 – 4/5).

Additional Kit Required (For HSD Gen 1 Owners Only)

The DuoStand HSD Kit (sold separately) is required to install
the DuoStand on the HSD Gen 1. Please see the illustrations on the
next page to determine which HSD frame you have.

Installation

Add anti-seize lubricant to the tip of the bolts before securing
the nuts. If anti-seize lubricant is not available, apply any
standard lubricant to reduce friction and prevent thread
galling.

For HSD Owners

Identify the HSD Frame Before installation, identify the HSD
frame by the kickstand mount located in front of the rear
wheel.

HSD Gen 1 frame variants

HSD Gen 1:

1. Remove the existing kickstand. (Tool may differ depending on
   your bike.)
2. Install Bolt Sets in the order and arrangement shown
   below.

HSD Gen 1 Assembly Order:

1. Nut
2. Washer
3. Wing-shaped plate*
4. Bushing*
5. Bike frame
6. Flat plate
7. DuoStand
8. Washer
9. Bolt*

* Use parts from the DuoStand HSD Kit.

HSD Gen 1A:

1. Remove the existing kickstand. (Tool may differ depending on
   your bike.)
2. Install Bolt Sets in the order and arrangement shown
   below.

HSD Gen 1A Assembly Order:

1. Nut
2. Washer
3. Bike frame
4. Flat plate
5. DuoStand
6. Washer
7. M10 x 30 Bolt

For Quick Haul & Short Haul Owners

1. Install the Bolt Sets in the order and arrangement shown
   below.

Assembly Order:

1. Nut
2. Washer
3. Bike frame
4. DuoStand
5. Washer
6. M10 x 30 Bolt

Mounting Location

The recommended clearance from the bottom of the rear wheel to
the ground is 10 – 20 mm (2/5 – 4/5). Measure the distance from the
bottom of the rear tire to the ground and adjust the height of the
DuoStand by loosening the bolts on the DuoStand Ends to raise or
lower the legs. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 8 – 9 Nm.

Optional: Install LockstandTM Extensions

For maximum stability when parked, install the Lockstand
Extensions. Available for purchase from your local Tern dealer.
