Product Information
The product is a Nvent Hoffman Bulletin A9 enclosure designed
for use in Class II Group E, F, and G locations. The enclosure
features .375 inch steel plate ends that allow for the connection
of conduit. It can accommodate conduit sizes up to 2 inches.
Product Usage Instructions
- Choose whether you want to make the conduit entrance in the
upper or lower end of the enclosure. - Using the correct drill size from the table below, drill and
tap the hole(s) for conduit entrance at the desired location in the
upper or lower ends. Only use taper pipe thread (NPT) taps. - Screw the conduit into the tapped hole, ensuring that it
protrudes far enough through the wall to attach a conduit
bushing. - Attach a conduit bushing to the protruding portion of the
conduit.

Note: If there are any unused conduit openings, they must be
filled with conduit plugs of the correct thread size and with a
minimum thread engagement of 3 1/2.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR CONNECTION OF CONDUIT TO NVENT HOFFMAN
BULLETIN A9 ENCLOSURES FOR CLASS II GROUP E, F, AND G LOCATIONS
1. Conduit entrance must be made either in the upper or the lower end of the enclosure. The ends are .375 inch steel plate which will provide in excess of 3 1/2 full threads for conduit size through 2 inch when drilled and tapped.
2. Drill and tap the hole(s) for conduit entrance at the desired location in the upper or lower ends. See the table below for the correct drill size. Use taper pipe thread (NPT) taps only.

3. Screw the conduit into the tapped hole. The conduit must protrude far enough through the wall to attach a conduit bushing.
4. Attach a conduit bushing to the protruding portion of conduit.
