Product Information

The AMAG 16DR is a ProWire Unified Power wall mount model that provides access power systems for AMAG M2150 or M4000 series controllers. It is a dual voltage system that can be programmed for failsafe / fail secure operation at either 12 or 24 VDC. The system consists of two C8 or M8 control modules that provide sixteen access control inputs capable of voltage or dry contact activation, and sixteen outputs that are programmable for failsafe / fail secure operation. It also includes two D8 modules that provide sixteen auxiliary outputs.
The system is designed for uniform operation, maintenance, and servicing across an enterprise. It comes with a pre-installed wire harness for panel power, lock control, faults, and tamper switch. The wiring is point-to-point, labeled, color-coded, twisted pair, and shielded communication. The cable management options include tie wrap or wire duct. The system is managed and can monitor power, batteries, and sixteen outputs. It is UL294 and ULC S319 joint LSP / AMAG integrated listing compliant.
The system comes in two enclosure styles – E6A1 and E8A – wall mount E8A. The model nomenclature includes power rating, accessory boards & enclosure, wiring option, and system type. The wiring options are T16-A, T16-C, P16-A, and P16-C. The system type includes distributed outputs auxiliary and control. The enclosure/cable management dimensions are H x W x D (inches).

Usage Instructions

The AMAG 16DR is a power supply system that provides access control inputs and outputs for AMAG M2150 or M4000 series controllers. Follow the below instructions to use the system:

  1. Choose the appropriate model nomenclature based on your requirements.
  2. Mount the system on the wall using the selected enclosure style.
  3. Connect the power supply board to 120/230VAC 50/60Hz input.
  4. Configure the system for failsafe / failsecure operation at either 12 or 24 VDC.
  5. Connect the access control inputs and outputs to the AMAG M2150 or M4000 series controllers.
  6. Connect the auxiliary outputs to other devices as required.
  7. Monitor the system for power, batteries, and sixteen outputs.
  8. In case of faults or tampering, refer to the user manual for troubleshooting instructions.

Overview

These ProWire Unified Power wall mount models are single and dual voltage access power systems, precision wired for AMAG M2150 or M4000 series controllers. ProWire enables the specification and installation of standardized access power equipment across an enterprise for uniform operation, maintenance and servicing.
The two C8 or M8 control modules provide sixteen access control inputs capable of voltage or dry contact activation, and sixteen outputs programmable for failsafe / failsecure operation at either 12 or 24 VDC and controlled by the power supply fire alarm interface. The two D8 modules provide sixteen auxiliary outputs. In these dual voltage systems, each output is configurable for 12 or 24VDC operation.
ProWire Unified Power enclosures are painted steel with removable backplate, lock, keys and and tamper switch and come 100% factory tested – ready for final panel installation and field wire termination.
