S4045 Shaw Grande Flush Mount
Product Information:
The Shaw Grande Flush Mount is a light fixture that should be
installed in accordance with applicable local installation codes.
It is important to have a person familiar with the construction and
operation of the fixture, as well as the hazards involved, perform
the installation. The fixture comes with a mounting plate (C), a
fixture body (L), a light source (H), a glass shade (M), and
various screws and connectors.
The fixture requires several tools for assembly, including a
Phillips screwdriver, a slotted screwdriver, a drill, a pencil, and
a hammer. It is important to inspect the item and contents
carefully before installation. If any damage or defects are found,
do not install and retain all packaging material until installation
is complete and approved.
Product Usage Instructions:
- Carefully remove all parts from the box and place them on a
clean, soft surface. - Remove the mounting plate (C) from the fixture body (L) by
removing screws (K). - Remove the light source (H) from the mounting plate (C) by
removing screws (I). - Using the mounting plate (C) as a guide, line it up with the
junction box and mark the anchor positions. - Using a drill bit slightly smaller than the anchor, drill holes
in the marked positions. Install anchors (B) into the holes using a
hammer. - Install the mounting plate (C) to the junction box and secure
it with mounting screws (D). Then, secure wood screws (F) to the
anchors (B). - Run the support cable through the hole on the back of the
mounting plate (C). Loosen the cable lock and install it to the end
of the support cable. Insert the other end of the cable through the
cable lock and tighten the ends with a screwdriver to secure (see
diagram 1). - Remove the quick connector (E1) from the light source.
- Wrap the quick connector ground wire (bare copper) around the
green grounding screw (see diagram 2). Tighten it. Then, continue
the quick connector ground wire and connect it to the supply ground
wire (usually green or bare copper) using a wire nut (A). Note: It
is imperative that the fixture is grounded. - Connect the quick connector neutral wire (white) to the supply
neutral wire (usually white) using a wire nut (A). - Connect the quick connector hot wire (black) to the supply hot
wire (usually black) using a wire nut (A). Caution: Do not reverse
the hot and neutral connections. - Ensure all wire connections are tight, then carefully tuck them
into the junction box. - Connect the quick connectors (E1 & E2) together, then
install the light source (H) to the mounting plate (C) and secure
it with screws (I). - Install the glass shade (M) to the fixture body (L) and secure
it with screws (J). Note: Do not over-tighten, as it may damage the
shade. - Install the fixture body (L) to the mounting plate (C) and
secure it with screws (K).
Care Instructions:
Clean the fixture only with a soft dry cloth or feather duster.
Do not use abrasive or chemical agents.

screws (K). 3. Remove light source (H) from mounting plate (C) by removing
screws (I). 4. Using mounting plate (C) as a guide, line up with the junction box and
mark anchor positions. 5. Using a drill bit slightly smaller than the anchor, drill holes in the
marked positions. Install anchors (B) into the holes using hammer. 6. Install mounting plate (C) to the junction box and secure with
mounting screws (D), then secure wood screws (F) to anchors (B). 7. Run support cable through hole on back of mounting plate (C).
Loosen cable lock and install to end of support cable. Insert other end of cable through the cable lock and tighten ends with a screwdriver to secure. (see diagram 1) 8 Remove quick connector (E1) from light source. 9. Wrap quick connector ground wire (bare copper) around the green grounding screw (see diagram 2). Tighten. Continue quick connector ground wire and connect to supply ground wire (usually green or bare copper) using wire nut (A). NOTE: It is imperative that the fixture is grounded.

10. Connect quick connector neutral wire (white) to the supply neutral wire (usually white) using wire nut (A).
11. Connect quick connector hot wire (black) to the supply hot wire (usually black) using wire nut (A). CAUTION: Do not reverse the hot and neutral connections.
12. Make sure all wire connections are tight, then carefully tuck into the junction box.
13. Connect quick connectors (E1 & E2) together, then install light source (H) to mounting plate (C) and secure with screws (I).
14. Install glass shade (M) to fixture body (L) and secure with screws (J). NOTE: Do not over-tighten otherwise shade could become damaged.
15. Install fixture body (L) to mounting plate (C) and secure with screws (K).
Care Instructions: Clean only with a soft dry cloth or feather duster. Do not use abrasive or chemical agents.
