The KEF Ci series custom installation loudspeaker is designed
for installation in dry-lined, stud partition walls and ceilings,
and for suspended ceilings. It delivers superb sound quality and is
ideal for long-term use. The Ci250RRb-THX High Output In-wall or
In-ceiling Subwoofer is a part of this series, which comes with a
badge position and cut-out dimensions. It has a net weight and a
mounting depth from the surface. The ideal rear volume and minimum
rear volume are also specified, along with optional rough-in frames
and rear enclosures. This product is THX-certified and comes with
specifications for diameter, depth, and active mode (KASA500) R
Series.
Product Usage Instructions
- Choose the location where you want to install the KEF Ci series
custom installation loudspeaker. - Ensure that the installation surface is dry-lined, stud
partition walls and ceilings, or suspended ceilings. - Refer to the cut-out dimensions specified in the manual to cut
a hole in the installation surface. - Install the KEF Ci series custom installation loudspeaker in
the hole. - If required, use optional rough-in frames and rear enclosures
as specified in the manual. - Connect the KEF Ci series custom installation loudspeaker to a
compatible device using the specified cables. - If using the Ci250RRb-THX High Output In-wall or In-ceiling
Subwoofer, connect it to a 2 channel bridge or KASA500 in active
mode with a 25Hz-KASA setting. - Once installed, decorate around the KEF Ci series custom
installation loudspeaker as desired. The badge position is
specified in the manual.

Installation should be performed by an installer who is skilled in the proper use of hand and power tools, knowledge of local building and fire codes, and who is familiar with the environment behind the wall or ceiling where the speaker is being installed. No attempt should be made to install these loudspeakers unless you are sure you will not be cutting through electric cables, water or gas pipes, or supporting joists. Ensure the loading on the wall or ceiling will support the weight of these assemblies.
