Product Information: Duosida 32A J1772 Charge Port

The Duosida 32A J1772 Charge Port is a charging port designed
for electric vehicles. It provides a standard wiring procedure for
connecting the charging port to the vehicle’s electrical system.
This charge port is compatible with other J1772 charge ports that
have a similar design.

Recommended Tools

  • T10 Torx driver
  • Drill holes in a wood block
  • Wire strippers
  • 1500 watt heat gun
  • 260 watt solder iron OR #2 Phillip screwdriver
  • Mini blow torch

  • Stranded copper wire
  • 0.8mm 60/40 rosin core electrical solder
  • Heat shrink assortment sizes
  • Charge port
  • Green 10GA, Black 10GA, White 10GA, Purple 18GA, Orange 18GA,
    Green 14GA wires
  • Screws, seal retainer, seal screw, pin retainer, O-ring,
    pins
  • 3/8 ID vinyl tube
  • Adhesive lined 3/4 shrink tube

Product Usage Instructions: Wiring the Duosida 32A J1772 Charge
Port

  1. Strip the wires.
  2. Fold the three wires (Green 10GA, Black 10GA, White 10GA) in
    half.
  3. Insert the wires into the pins. They should push in by hand but
    be very tight. Ensure the weep hole faces up.
  4. Feed about 1 foot of solder until it starts to come out of the
    weep hole, then remove heat.
  5. Check that the solder does not interfere with pin fit.
  6. Insert the pins from the back, then insert the O-ring and pin
    retainer.
  7. Add shrink tube as shown.
  8. Insert the White (N) 10GA and Black (L) 10GA wires from the
    front view.
  9. Install the retainer screw.
  10. Feed the wires through the seal and install the retainer.
  11. Feed the wires through the seal retainer.
  12. Insert the Purple (CP) 18GA wire for pilot, Green (PE) 14 and
    10GA wire for proximity.
  13. Install seal retainer screws for dry location.
  14. Install the rear cover.
  15. Install 3/8 ID vinyl tube and measure enough adhesive lined 3/4
    shrink tube to exit rear cover. Heat the shrink tube, not the vinyl
    tube.
  16. Install rear cover and tighten gland nut.

Install 1/2″ shrink tube Install rear cover

Install 3/8″ ID vinyl tube

Measure enough adhesive lined 3/4″ shrink tube to exit rear cover. Heat the
shrink tube, not the vinyl tube.

Install rear cover and tighten gland nut
