CA2284-W 1-Light Matte Motion Sensing Dusk Wall Lantern Sconce

Product Information

The product is a CA2284-W fixture that has a motion sensor and
can be used for outdoor lighting. The fixture has two brightness
levels, low and high. At dusk, the light will turn on at low-level
brightness (30% brightness). When motion is detected, the light
will turn to high-level brightness (100% brightness) and stay on as
long as the motion is continuing. The light will revert to
low-level brightness about 120 seconds after motion is no longer
detected. The motion sensor has three sensitivity levels, with the
least sensitive being on the left and the most sensitive being on
the right. The fixture has one red LED on motion sensor flashing
three times when motion is detected. Until dawn, the lights will
turn off in about 120 seconds after the motion is no longer
detected.

Product Usage Instructions

Before installing or servicing the fixture, make sure to shut
off the power to avoid the risk of electrical shock. The fixture
should not be installed in a location where it may confront any
jets of air conditions or strong airflow.

When using the fixture, follow the instructions below:

  1. Choose the location where you want to install the fixture.
  2. Mount the fixture according to FIG.1, which shows an 8.0′
distance between the fixture and the ground and a 6.0′ distance
    between fixtures.
  3. Adjust the sensitivity level of the motion sensor according to
FIG.3. The least sensitive level is on the left, and the most
sensitive level is on the right.
  4. Turn on the power.
  5. The fixture will turn on at low-level brightness at dusk. When
motion is detected, it will turn to high-level brightness and stay
on as long as motion is detected. After motion is no longer
detected, the light will revert to low-level brightness after about
    120 seconds.
  6. If you want the fixture to always stay on at high-level
brightness, turn off the midnight lamp.
  7. If you want the fixture to turn off completely, turn off the
    power.

To work properly.you should install this fixture NOT confront any jets of air conditions or strong airflow

NOTE: 1. The sensitivity of the motion sensor will increase as the environmental temperature gets cooler. For best performance, gently clean the lens with a soft cloth every 1 or 2 months to assure maximum sensitivity. 2. For best performance, install fixture at least 6 feet above The ground. At such a height, the lantern will provide a detection distance of up to 40 feet at 77 degrees Fahrenheit.(See Fig.1) 3. The sensor detects across a detection range of 220 degrees.(See Fig.2) 4. The sensor will be more sensitive to motion across its detection path than motion directly towards it. (See Fig.3) 5. To reduce possible nuisances, do not mount the fixture near a heat source like an air conditioner, vent or furnace exhaust, or in a direction facing any reflecting object or other light source.
