- Turn off and unplug
- Recline handle back as far as it will go
- Flip over the machine so brush faces up
- Remove access plate by removing the five screws and lift cover off
- Grasp brush at both ends and lift out
- Clean any debris from brush, motor pulley, and belt areas
- Check brush and belt for any damage
- Brush should spin easily by hand and belt should be intact
- If part is damaged, it will need to be replaced
- Spin brush by hand when replacing in machine to center belt
- If belts continuously break, adjust height of machine to ensure brush is rotating freely
- If brush is still not turning, please take the machine to a BISSELL Authorized Service Center or Contact Us
