- Unplug machine
- Recline handle to floor and roll machine over so brush is facing up
- Take out 6 screws to remove brush cover
- Lift out brush and belt
- Check belt for damage
- If worn/damaged, a replacement belt needs to be ordered
- Stand brush up on flat surface
- Hold top with one hand while spinning brush with other hand
- If brush does not spin freely, a replacement brush needs to be ordered
- If brush spins freely, inspect each endcap for damage/wear/debris
- If damaged, replacement brush needs to be ordered
- If not damaged, remove all debris
- Inspect brush cover
- If damaged, a replacement needs to be ordered
- Inspect brush housing area
- If damaged, please visit a BISSELL Authorized Service Center or Contact Us
- Hold top with one hand while spinning brush with other hand
- Check belt for damage
- If belts continually break,
- Verify the correct height setting is being used for flooring being vacuumed
- A height setting too low will cause too much friction between brush and flooring, putting too much stress on belt and causing it to break
- Verify the correct height setting is being used for flooring being vacuumed
