With CRUZ-ALL you can cruise timber using English basal area factors 5, 10, 20, or 40.
Using the Jim-Gem® Cruz-All
Holding the button at the end of the chain in your teeth, extend the Cruz-Alll angle gauge away from your eye until the chain is taut. Keepig your eye directly over the sampling point, look through the Cruz-Alll at every tree around you. Count the trees which appear as wide or wider (at breast height) than the opening for the basal area factor you are using.
- For Example: Count this tree in a 5 BAF sample. Do not count this tree in a 10, 20, or 40 sample.
- Count this tree in a 40 BAF sample.
