regulations. The MKE 600 features a 3.5 mm jack connection and
comes with the following components: 1. Foam windshield –
attenuates wind noise by approximately 25 dB. 2. Low Cut switch –
reduces wind and impact noise by attenuating frequencies below 100
Hz. 3. LED operation indicator – provides information about the
microphone’s status. 4. BATT ON/OFF battery switch – controls the
internal battery power. 5. Lower part of the microphone body –
covers the battery compartment. 6. XLR-3 socket (male) – for
connecting the microphone cable. 7. Shock mount with flash mount
adapter – provides stability and compatibility with various
devices. The MKE 600 can be powered either through phantom power
via the XLR connection or by an internal battery.

Product Usage Instructions

Phantom Powering via XLR Connection: 1. Connect the XLR-3
socket (female) of the microphone cable to the XLR-3 socket (male)
of the microphone. 2. Connect the other end of the microphone cable
to the video camera, camcorder, or recording device. 3. The LED
indicator will light up, indicating that the microphone is
operational. Internal Battery Powering: 1. Unscrew the lower
part of the microphone body by turning it in the direction of the
arrow. 2. Insert a battery or rechargeable battery (AA size, 1.5
V/1.2 V), ensuring correct polarity. 3. Screw the lower part of the
microphone body back to the microphone by turning it in the
direction of the arrow. 4. Set the battery switch to ON to switch
on the internal battery or set it to OFF to turn off the battery
power. 5. The LED indicator will provide information about the
battery status. – LED lights up red for approximately 1 second
after switch-on and then goes off: Internal battery power is
switched on, and the operating time is up to approximately 150
hours. – LED lights up red permanently: Low Batt, indicating that
the battery is almost empty, with approximately 8 hours of
remaining operating time. – LED flashes briefly red on switch-on:
Battery is empty, and the microphone is not operational. Remember
to remove the battery when not using the microphone for extended
periods to prevent self-discharge. Using Low Cut: Set the
Low Cut switch to the desired position: – Linear frequency
response: No attenuation of frequencies below 100 Hz. – Attenuated
frequency response: Frequencies below 100 Hz are attenuated to
reduce wind and impact noise.

The MKE 600 shotgun microphone
The MKE 600 is the ideal video camera/camcorder microphone able to handle even demanding filmic challenges. Due to its high directivity, the MKE 600 picks up sounds coming from the direction in which the camera is pointing and effectively attenuates noise coming from the sides and rear. The switchable “Low Cut” filter additionally minimizes wind noise. Because some video cameras/camcorders do not provide phantom power, the MKE 600 can also be battery powered. A battery on/off switch prevents the battery from discharging prematurely; “Low Batt” is displayed.
Features
· Pronounced directivity · Maximal rejection of side noise · Switchable “Low Cut” filter minimizes wind noise · Phantom or battery powering · Battery switch with “Low Batt” indicator · Rugged all-metal housing · Very good suppression of structure-borne noise · Supplied with foam windshield, shockmount and adapter cable for cameras
with 3.5 mm jack connection
