Product Information
The RAPID Server with 19 inch Rack Mount Arrangement is a device
designed for installing into a 19 IT rack. It is used as part of
the RAPID lighting control system and is intended to operate
autonomously using an unswitched power line. The device comes with
a UK fused 3 pin power cable and is capable of connecting to the
Ethernet network.

Product Usage Instructions
Installation
- Insert the tray into the IT rack from the front.
- Secure the rack tray arrangement with 4 x M6 screws
provided. - If required, use captive nuts to fit into the slot of the
client’s rack.
Power Connection
Connect the provided UK fused 3 pin power cable with an IEC C5
socket to the power supply unit. Ensure that the power connection
is protected by an appropriate circuit protection device.
Network Connections
Connect the LAN port at the back of the processor unit with an
RJ45 Cat5e or better cable to the Ethernet network deployed for the
RAPID lighting control system.

Overview
19″ IT rack mount tray arrangement This instruction covers the rack mount tray arrangement for installing into a 19″ IT rack.
IMPORTANT NOTICE! This device should be installed by a qualified electrician in accordance with the latest edition of the IET Wiring Regulations and any applicable Building Regulations.
Installation
Insert tray to IT rack
Install the rack tray arrangement from the front of the client’s 19″ rack and secure with 4 x M6 screws provided. Use captive nuts to fit into the slot of the client’s rack if required.
The rack mount kit occupies 2 U rack height space.
Power connection
The unit is supplied with a UK fused 3 pin nominal length 0.8m power cable with an IEC C5 socket to connect to the power supply unit. This is intended to operate autonomously using an unswitched power line. Should the user apply alternative means of power connection, ensure that this is protected by an appropriate circuit protection device.
Network Connections
Connect LAN port at the back of the processor unit with RJ45 Cat5e or better cable to the Ethernet network deployed for the RAPID lighting control system.
