Introduction
With its small footprint and clear audio pick-up, the 4097 CORE Micro Shotgun Microphone can be used in the tightest spaces. It is optimized to pick up speech in applications such as in ENG/EFP broadcast or as a plant mic on film sets.
The mic sits on a 10 cm (4 in) gooseneck with a built-in shock mount. A free-running nut on the MicroDot enables the mic to be quickly turned and locked in the correct position.
The microphone uses a small diaphragm pre-polarized condenser capsule with a supercardioid pickup pattern mounted in an interference tube, which sits inside of a replaceable foam windscreen.
The interference tube in the 4097 CORE Micro Shotgun increases its directionality while maintaining flat onaxis frequency response and consistent off-axis response. This allows the mic to isolate what you’re trying to pick up while attenuating sounds from the sides and rear.
