- Lower and remove spare tire.
- Unfasten bottom bolts of shocks using a 21mm tools to allow free movement.
- Using jack stands or a lift, support the weight of the truck so the rear tires are just touching the ground. Using 21 mm tools, remove the rear shackles.
- Remove rear most exhaust hanger.
- Install longer exhaust hanger in the same location.
- Install rear shackles with 22mm tools, torque all bolts to 118 lb-ft.
- Lower truck back down so the shackles are supporting the trucks weight. That will allow you to re-attach the shocks at the lower mounting points, torque to 118 lb-ft.
- Reinstall the spare tire.
