83915 Surge Protection Device

Product Information:

The MARS Surge Protection Device is a unitized design that
provides quick and clean installation. It is designed to protect
critical components in high efficiency mini-split and unitary HVAC
equipment. The device utilizes Thermally Protected MOV technology
to provide safe and reliable surge protection. It is available in
different configurations, including non-fused and fused options,
with varying protection ratings.

Product Usage Instructions:

To use the MARS Surge Protection Device, follow these steps:

Identify the appropriate configuration and protection rating
for your HVAC equipment.
Ensure that the device is compatible with your equipment’s
voltage requirements.
Choose the suitable enclosure type for your installation
environment.
If required, connect the MARS Side Open Disconnect Boxes with
Internal Surge to your equipment.
If necessary, replace the surge module with the provided
Replacement Surge Module (MARS NO. 83910).
Install the surge protection device by following the
manufacturer’s instructions.
Connect the device to your HVAC equipment using the provided
wires and threaded nipple.
Verify the LED Protection Status Indicator to ensure the device
is functioning properly.
