Frequently Asked Questions

Can the TRS be used to transmit & receive a stereo aux / stereo mic signal?

A TRS is a stereo connector (TS is Mono) so it would transmit in stereo. I send the signal into a mixer which I can separate into mono or stereo recordings, but if it goes directly to camera it shows as a stereo signal. Hope that is what you are asking…

Is the set that comes with both xlr and me2 able to have both transmitters sending to the receiver at the same time? how does it handle the mix if so?

Only one transmitter at a time can interact with the receiver. When you power on a transmitter it will automatically connect the receiver. When you want to switch mics power off the first transmitter and it will disconnect. Them power on the second transmitter and it will automatically connect.

Is there a headset mic that’s compatible with this system?

Any mic with a 1/8″ connector should work.

Will the onboard mic still works when I plug an external mic in the trans to use as two mics?

Depends on your camera, probably not.

Does it work with iphone?

Yes. With an adapter

Is the ME-2 a condenser mic? If not, can a condenser mic be used on this sytem?

The Me2 is an omnidirectional condenser lav.

Why does it say product ships in 1-2 months?

They have been backlogged because the interest in this new model was a lot more than they expected. They are building them in batches.

So it only comes with 1 charging cable huh?

Yes but it’s a usbc. You can get more anywhere.

What size does the adapter to iphone need to be? .25 in to the headphone jack?

That would depend on which iPhone you have. Look up the audio input info for your model.

On a recording set with three cameras, Can be used with three receivers, (one on each camera) at the same time?

You can have as many receivers as you’d like. Just make sure the transmitter and receivers are set to the same frequency.

Will I be able to use 2x of the receivers with 2x transmitters at the same time? In other words, 2 rec plugged into camera, and using 2 transmitters?

Yes, if you have 2 receivers you can send 2 signals to your cam. But if you have 1 receiver and 2 transmitters, only 1 can be used at a time. There are directions for pairing the receivers and transmitters, but if you buy a kit they are already paired. Ive had no issues with interference when going wireless.

Can both receivers work at the same time with one transmitter?

No. The receiver can handle one transmitter at a time.

What is the difference between the portable interview set and the xsw-d portable lavalier set ?

Interview set transmitter has an XLR plug on it for a mic. Lavalier set has 1/8″ connector and comes with a lav mic

Will this work to record into a zoom h4 using a 3.5mm to xlr adapter?

Yes. I have one hooked up that way, and it works fine. I prefer the XLR receiver for that, but the headphone jack to XLR adapter works fine.
