Before You Begin

  • Disconnect power from the luminaire and follow proper lockout/tagout procedures before beginning installation or maintenance. Contact a qualified electrician for installation.
  • Venture Lighting’s downlight frame kit installation requires knowledge of luminaire electrical systems. If not qualified, do not attempt installation. Contact a qualified electrician.
  • The installer is responsible to determine whether the proper voltage is run to the luminaire being serviced.
  • Risk of fire or electric shock. Install these kits only in luminaires that have the construction features shown in the photographs/drawings.
  • To prevent wiring damage or abrasion, do not expose wiring to edges of sheet metal or other sharp objects.
  • Do not make or alter any open holes in the wiring enclosure or to the electrical components during installation.

Installation

  1. Attach the adjustable mounting bracket to frame using the hardware included.
  2. Slide the mounting bars into adjustable bracket.
  3. Place the assembly into the ceiling.
  4. Adjust the height of the housing so that the housing opening is flush with the ceiling.
  5. Secure the mounting bar to the grid ceiling with a safety wire (not included).
